Who We Are
Downward Dog Wellness was created as a space where healing is approached through the body as much as the mind. The practice is rooted in the understanding that stress and trauma are not only experienced cognitively, but are also held within the nervous system and the body.
Downward Dog Wellness integrates trauma informed psychotherapy, nervous system education, and trauma conscious movement practices to support holistic healing. This approach honors both evidence based clinical care and the lived, embodied experiences of each individual. Services are offered virtually to increase accessibility and to meet clients where they are.
At the core of this work is the belief that healing is not one size fits all. Yoga and somatic practices are offered in ways that are choice centered, inclusive, and adaptable. Yoga is for every body, every background, and every level of experience.
Downward Dog Wellness is an affirming and inclusive practice. All identities are welcome here, including LGBTQ+ individuals and those navigating complex relationships with culture, family systems, and inherited patterns. Care is taken to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and empowering.
